I work with unique fibers such as: reed, recycled fabrics, raffia, and plastics. I started with sewing my own clothes in junior high. Later, I moved on to making purses, home decor, tote bags, and clothing for my daughters. Now I love to recycle fabrics such as designer fabrics and turn them into purses or tote bags.
In adult ed classes, I learned how to weave baskets and chair caning, which I love to do on my front porch in the summer. I like to use raffia to make summer hats. I’m never without a project.
