JOIN OUR COOP

Being part of our co-op exposes everyone to new ideas and connections that extends the knowledge and opportunities for individual artists in the arts and craft world. New work is subject to a jury that ensures quality and individualism in product diversity.

Many of us are active with shows and fairs, using the co-op as a backup for income. Others prefer the day to day of having a gallery for very little financial input and do a few shows where they get customer feedback. It works both ways.

If you are looking to connect with fellow artists and be a part of a team, we encourage you to visit our store. Come in and meet a member or two and see how your work would fit with our shop. We are always looking for new talent in our area.

At JUC, we have two levels of membership and two levels of commissions from sales.

All members pay $20/month for membership dues. These dues help to offset the costs of rent, utilities, supplies, advertising, fixtures, accountants, and social media.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

• 80/20

  • Members commit to working four half day shifts per month. 

  • Members are expected to attend monthly organization meetings and assist decision making and help with other aspects of running a co-op.

• 65/35

  • Members are not committed to work  in the gallery, but are encouraged to participate in special events and attend annual meetings.

Just Us Chickens is an LLC, files a tax return every year, and provides artists with all the paperwork needed for the Internal Revenue Service if commissions exceed $600.
